Sergiev Posad tour

Sergiev Posad is one the most famous towns of Moscow vicinity, 52 kilometers outside Moscow. The city was named after venerable Saint Sergius of Radonezh who founded the biggest Russian monastery – St. Sergius Lavra - in 1782. Peasants came to the monastery and stayed to live next to it. This pilgrimage made this town bigger and bigger, and nowadays Sergiev Posad population is more than 112 000 people.
